SkinBase Radio Frequency use high-frequency radio waves to target and heat deep subcutaneous regions of the skin. This heating effect stimulates fat cell reduction and tightens collagen and elastin fibres, resulting in a smoother appearance to the skin’s surface. Collagen production can increase for up to 3 months after your client’s course of treatments providing long-term results seen for up to 2 years. The SkinBase Radio Frequency system works with both Monopolar and Bipolar handpieces giving the Therapist flexibility and their clients; maximum results. Monopolar (Monopolar refers to the handpiece having one pole or electrode) Working at a deeper level, it is great for creating a lifting action. With monopolar delivery, the current from the Radio Frequency machine flows through the body from a single electrode (handpiece) and meets maximum resistance in the area around the tip of the handpiece, where tissue heating in the subdermal layers then occurs. A grounding, or return plate is also used, placed in the opposite area to that which you are treating. Bipolar (Bipolar refers to The handpiece having two poles or electrodes)

Working at a shallower level, stimulation of beneficial heat induces regeneration of tissue.
With bipolar delivery, the current from the Radio Frequency machine flows only through the tissue which is between the two electrodes on the handpiece; these electrodes start and complete the electrical circuit. Hence, with bipolar delivery, no current flows through the rest of the body. No grounding or return plate is needed, great for treating the face, neck & decollete.
